Department of National Defence
During my second co-op in Summer 2025, I worked at the Department of National Defence within the Creative Services team as a Graphic Designer. My work included bilingual social media content, branded print materials, lock screen designs, and contributions to large-scale vehicle wrap projects. Later in the term, I also supported the Exhibits team through on-site setup work.
A wide-ranging co-op focused on bilingual communication, branded materials, environmental graphics, and production support.
At the Department of National Defence, I worked within the Creative Services team as a Graphic Designer, contributing to a range of communication and branding projects across print and digital media. This co-op gave me the opportunity to work in a fast-paced government design environment where accuracy, consistency, bilingual communication, and production awareness were all essential parts of the process.
My responsibilities included creating bilingual social media posts, designing a lanyard for ADM (Finance), producing lock screen concepts, and contributing to vehicle wrap projects for a variety of vehicles. Later in the term, I also moved over to the Exhibits team, where I supported the setup of large-format rollups in a real-world event environment.
Designing across multiple formats while adapting to different audiences, production needs, and public-facing contexts.
One part of my work involved developing two bilingual social media posts, in English and French, promoting the Canadian Armed Forces and careers as a full-time musician. These pieces required clear messaging, strong hierarchy, and a polished visual style that could work effectively across official communication channels. I also created a lanyard design for ADM (Finance), which required careful attention to branding and presentation within a formal departmental context.
I also contributed to vehicle wrap projects, working on layouts and visual applications for a wide range of vehicles including the Tesla Cybertruck, Toyota Sienna, Ford Expedition, Dodge Caravan, Polestar 3, Tesla Model X, and Dodge Journey. This part of the co-op gave me valuable exposure to large-scale environmental graphics and how designs are adapted to complex physical surfaces and real-world production requirements.
In addition, I created three lock screen designs and later supported the Exhibits team by helping set up rollups on site. Although I did not design the rollups themselves, this experience gave me practical exposure to installation, presentation, and the physical side of communication design beyond the screen.

These social media pieces were created in both English and French and designed to communicate clearly while maintaining a strong and professional visual presence.

This piece required a clean and professional visual treatment suited to a formal departmental setting.

I contributed to wrap projects for the Tesla Cybertruck, Toyota Sienna, Ford Expedition, Dodge Caravan, Polestar 3, Tesla Model X, and Dodge Journey. The photos below show the Ford Expedition wrap applied in real life.

These designs explored clear visual communication in a compact digital format while staying aligned with departmental design expectations.

Although I did not design these rollups, I helped set them up on site. This gave me additional experience with the production, installation, and physical presentation side of design work.
